The only school in northern Spain offering the full IB in English. Here, English isn't a subject - it's the language your child thinks, creates, and grows in.
Three things make ASB unlike any other school in the region - and they all come back to our belief that education works best when it's personal.
The only school in the region combining all three IB programs with an American educational philosophy - where students learn by doing, lead their own inquiry, and think critically from day one. Not passive learners. Protagonists.

"At ASB, every child is known. Not just by name, but by their passions, their challenges, and their dreams. That's the promise of a small school - and it's the promise I make to every family who walks through our doors."

The best way to understand ASB is through the community who lives it every day.
ASB played a huge role in our decision to move to Bilbao. Without it, making Spain our home wouldn't have been possible. The school combines strong academics with genuine care for each student. The teachers are dedicated, approachable, and invested in every child's growth. With children from 4th through 12th grade, we've seen that consistency firsthand at every stage.
The IB at ASB taught me to think independently, manage my own work, and take real initiative — skills that proved essential when I went on to study engineering at the University of Cambridge and later during my PhD. The experience of writing projects and presenting ideas through the IB helped me secure both the prestigious La Caixa scholarship and a Fulbright to Harvard Medical School. Looking back, the mindset I developed at ASB — especially through CAS and the IB — was the foundation for everything that followed.
